What should I know about digital Photo printing?

There are several ways of printing a photograph, ink-jet or electrostatic (laser) prints are common at home and in some chain stores. The traditional chemical process has been time tested and as a member of Kodak Express Imageland is required to maintain a strict level of compliance for stability and quality of the chemicals involved, failing to monitor and regularly replace these will result in a shorter life span for prints although they may look just the same for a short time. Dye Sublimation prints are a good, fast way to get photos but they tend to exagerate colours, these are available from our Self-service Kiosk's.

Specialist Printing

Our enlargements will leave you stunned, not only do we enlarge the photo, when necessary we will "tweak" the image to get the best results possible from it to create a masterpeice you just can't wait to get framed!.

If your photos have been taken in RAW or merged via a function such as the Photoshop "Merge to HDR" function then you might be looking for someone who can print to the higher bit depth, Imageland can process and print 16 bit tiff images.

Our Enlargements are printed onto the best Ilford paper available, this paper was selected after travelling to the US to find the best range available for our customers - this paper is also available in A4 & A3 packs for home users. After handling this paper for a number of years in the workshop I can vouch that it is and remains the best paper we handle for photographic printing.

We also carry a wide range of other products onto which we can print your photos, be it corrogated cardboards or self-adhesive labels we can offer a great range of creative solutions to your creative desires.

Imageland also prints Team Photo boards, also used for clubrooms and portrait shots of club members these board printing options will be taylor made for your application and can really tidy up any tired old presentations.

Canvas Prints

We have been making Canvas prints for a good few years now and reckon we know a bit about it... It takes a bit of trial and error to make these just right, Imageland Canvas prints are not made on cheap substitute product - they can be cleaned and also offer a great level of fade resistance. More about canvas printing can be found here.

Enlargements

Our photo enlargements look fantastic on high quality Ilford paper. A common question is how big can you go - this is best determined by your photo, the amount of pixels and if any lens distortion or focus issues are significant. We can offer free advice on the best enlargement size for your image.
